Snyder just informed the DC fanbase that he won’t be able to direct Justice League and seemingly any other projects in the future, due to his daughter Autumn taking her life at the young age of 20.
He confessed that this haunting occurrence already happened in March and the director wanted to keep this matter private. Snyder said that he thought he could dive into work, hoping it would be a cathartic experience. Now he decided to be there for his family and process it.
Joss Whedon, the man responsible for the Marvel projects like The Avengers, and who will do the new Batgirl movie, will take over the remaining Justice League scenes.
My thoughts and well-wishes go out to Zack and his family and I agree and understand why he had to take this choice. I’m hoping that soon in the future we get to see him again, continuing his life work.
